Panel accessory modules are the small DIN rail devices that keep a control panel powered, cooled and serviceable. UL Group's range covers 24 V DC power distribution with fused outputs, diode ORing to combine redundant power supplies, cooling fan failure detection with temperature monitoring, digital thermostats for fan or heater control, and a utility module for panel lights and fans.
The power distribution module splits one 24 V DC supply into several fused, LED-indicated outputs. Diode ORing modules, in plastic or metallic enclosures, combine two supplies so that either can fail without dropping the load. Fan failure detection modules monitor 2 or 4 fans and panel temperature with an alarm contact. The digital thermostat and temperature monitoring unit switch cooling and raise alarms at set points.
Indian panel builders fit these in PLC, DCS and drive panels where redundant supplies, forced cooling and remote alarms are specified by the end user. Specify supply voltage and total current, number of fused outputs, number and rating of fans, alarm contact type, set points and enclosure preference.

It joins two 24 V DC supplies through diodes so both feed the load but neither can back-feed the other. If one supply fails the other carries the panel without interruption, which is standard in redundant PLC and DCS cabinets.
It monitors each fan's current or tacho signal and the panel temperature. If a fan stops or temperature exceeds the limit, an LED shows the faulty fan and an alarm contact closes for the PLC or annunciator.
