Modular wiring FIMs for DI, DO, AI and AO at 24 V DC, 110 and 230 V AC; DI modules with line-fault detection.
UL Group field interface modules (FIMs) are the modular wiring link between a PLC or DCS I/O card and field devices. Each module carries one card's worth of channels with terminals, fuses, LEDs and, where needed, relays or signal conditioning, and connects to the I/O card through a single prefabricated cable. They replace loose terminal strips and point-to-point wiring, cutting panel build time and wiring errors.
Digital input FIMs are offered for 24 V DC, 110 V AC and 230 V AC field interrogation, with a special DI line fault detection (LFD) version that monitors open and short circuits and gives an alarm contact. Digital output relay interface modules come with 1 C/O or 2 C/O relays. Analogue input FIMs support 2-wire and 4-wire transmitters, and analogue output FIMs include fuse protection per channel.
Indian DCS and PLC panel builders use FIMs in refinery, power, pharma and water projects where hundreds of I/O must be marshalled neatly. Specify the I/O card make and model, signal type and interrogation voltage, channel count, fuse and LED needs, LFD requirement and the cable length to the card.
Elume sells UL field interface modules on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole UL range we quote on the UL page, or the full catalogue on UL's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other UL part number is quoted the same way.
It is the supply the module applies to a field contact to sense its state. 24 V DC is standard for PLC inputs; 110 V or 230 V AC versions are used where field switches are on AC circuits or long cable runs need a higher wetting voltage.
In safety and fire-and-gas loops where an open or shorted field cable must be detected, not just read as off. The LFD module uses end-of-line resistors to distinguish healthy, open and short states and provides an alarm contact.
The field side is generic; the card side is matched by connector and pinout to the I/O card you name. State the exact card part number and a module and cable pair will be quoted for it.
