For PLC and DCS I/O cards, matched to the card's connector.
A field termination assembly (FTA) is a complete marshalling board that lands field cables, provides channel-level isolation, fusing and indication, and connects to the control system I/O module through a prefabricated cable. UL Group FTAs are built for differential-type DI and DO modules found in DCS systems, where each channel has its own pair rather than a shared common, and are made in India to the I/O module's pinout.
DI field termination assemblies are offered with 24 V DC field interrogation and with 110 V or 230 V AC interrogation, both for differential-type DI modules. DO relay field termination assemblies use 1 C/O or 2 C/O relays per channel for differential-type DO modules. Each assembly carries terminals sized for site cable, LEDs per channel and fuses where specified, and is matched to the connector of the named I/O module.
Indian DCS panel builders and plant upgrade teams use FTAs to replace ageing marshalling or to build new system cabinets for refinery, petrochemical, power and fertiliser plants. Specify the DCS I/O module part number, signal type, interrogation voltage, relay contact arrangement, channel count, cable length and any hazardous-area or redundancy requirement.
Elume sells UL field termination assemblies on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole UL range we quote on the UL page, or the full catalogue on UL's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other UL part number is quoted the same way.
Both marshal one I/O card to the field. FTAs are built for differential-type DCS modules where each channel has its own return and often include relays or fusing per channel on a larger board. Field interface modules are the general PLC-style boards; the right one depends on the I/O module named.
Yes, provided the module's connector and pinout are shared. Customised FTAs are produced to that pinout so existing field wiring can be landed without change during an upgrade. Include the module part number in the enquiry.
Standard relays handle typical 24 V DC and 230 V AC solenoid coils. State the coil current and inrush in the enquiry so the contact rating is checked and a fuse per channel is included if needed.
