DIN, wall and rack LIUs and patch cords.
A light interface unit (LIU) is the enclosure where an incoming fibre cable is terminated, spliced and presented on adapters so patch cords can connect to switches, media converters and PLC fibre ports. UL Group LIUs include splice trays, adapter plates and cable glands in metal housings suited to industrial panels, with matching simplex and duplex patch cords for the final link.
Four formats are offered. DIN rail mount LIUs fit inside control panels beside industrial switches. Wall mount LIUs serve field junction boxes and small rooms. Rack mount LIUs are 19-inch units for network panels, and sliding rack mount LIUs pull out for splicing and patching without removing the unit. Adapter types cover SC, LC, ST and FC in single-mode or multimode as required.
Indian plants use them where PROFINET, Ethernet and PROFIBUS-to-fibre links run between buildings, substations and control rooms, and in CCTV and network panels. Specify fibre count and type, connector type, mounting format, splice or pigtail requirement, and the quantity and length of patch cords.
Elume sells UL fibre liu patch panels on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole UL range we quote on the UL page, or the full catalogue on UL's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other UL part number is quoted the same way.
The DIN rail mount LIU clips onto the same rail as the switch and terminates the incoming fibre so a short patch cord reaches the SFP port. State the fibre count and connector type so the right adapter plate is fitted.
Sliding LIUs let the splice tray be worked on while the unit stays in the rack, which helps in dense network panels. Fixed rack LIUs are simpler and cheaper where the rack is accessible and patching is infrequent.
Yes. Simplex and duplex patch cords are supplied in standard and custom lengths in single-mode or multimode with the connector mix you specify, so the LIU, pigtails and cords arrive as one matched set.
