Ultra-slim slice I/O: digital, analogue, counter, serial and safety modules with PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP couplers.
SLIO is the Yaskawa VIPA Controls modular slice I/O system for distributed and cabinet-mounted automation. A head station (interface module or CPU) sits on DIN-rail and electronic modules only 12.5 mm wide clip on beside it, each on its own terminal block with a 48 Mbit/s backplane bus. Modules can be exchanged without disconnecting the wiring, and channel labelling and LEDs sit directly on the module face.
The interface modules IM 053 connect the station to PROFINET (053-1PN01, with 2-port switch and up to 64 modules), PROFIBUS-DP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet and CANopen. Signal modules cover digital inputs and outputs (021, 022), analog inputs and outputs (031, 032) including RTD and thermocouple, function modules 050 for counters and SSI, communication processors 040 for serial, and power and clamp modules 001 and 007 that start new potential groups.
Indian machine builders and system integrators pick SLIO where panel space is tight and the PLC is a Siemens, Yaskawa or other PROFINET or EtherCAT master. Specify the fieldbus, channel counts per signal type, 2-, 3- or 4-wire sensor wiring, isolation groups and the terminal block type so the station is quoted complete.
Elume sells VIPA slio modular i/o on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole VIPA range we quote on the VIPA page, or the full catalogue on VIPA's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other VIPA part number is quoted the same way.
Yes. The IM 053-1PN01 is a PROFINET IO device configured from the GSDML file in TIA Portal or STEP 7, so a Siemens, Yaskawa or any other PROFINET controller can read and write the SLIO modules behind it.
Up to 64 electronic modules behind one PROFINET interface module; other buses may allow fewer. Power modules 001 are inserted to start a new 24 V potential group when the backplane supply or output current is exhausted.
Yes. The terminal block stays on the rail with the wiring and the electronic module slides out and a replacement clicks in. Modules are keyed so the wrong type cannot be plugged into a slot.
