Compact PLCs on the SLIO backplane, programmed with STEP 7, TIA Portal or SPEED7 Studio.
The SLIO CPUs are compact SPEED7 programmable controllers that mount at the head of a SLIO I/O station and run STEP 7 or TIA Portal projects in the S7-300 instruction set. Each CPU carries Ethernet PG/OP ports, an integrated web server and a slot for a VIPA SetCard, and uses the SLIO 12.5 mm modules as local I/O, which keeps a complete controller inside a very small panel footprint.
The CPU 013C has on-board I/O and is the entry model. The CPU 015 family runs 256 to 512 KB work memory: 015PN (015-CEFPR01) with a PROFINET controller, 015N (015-CEFNR00) with an EtherCAT master and optional PROFIBUS, two RS485 ports and an Ethernet CP. The CPU 017 family adds more memory and performance, with 017PN for PROFINET. Memory and PROFIBUS master functions are unlocked with VIPA SetCards.
Indian OEMs and panel builders choose these CPUs as a compact alternative to an S7-300 rack where the program is written in STEP 7 or TIA. Specify the fieldbus master needed (PROFINET or EtherCAT), work memory, serial ports, motion axes if required, the SetCard options and the SLIO modules to go with the CPU.

Yes. SLIO CPUs execute the S7-300 instruction set, so programs written in STEP 7 V5.x, TIA Portal or VIPA SPEED7 Studio are transferred after the hardware configuration is adjusted to the VIPA CPU and SLIO modules.
015PN has an integrated PROFINET IO controller for PROFINET field devices. 015N has an EtherCAT master, used with Yaskawa Sigma-7 drives and EtherCAT I/O, and can take an optional PROFIBUS master. Both share the SPEED7 core, Ethernet CP and RS485 ports.
Work memory and PROFIBUS master functions are unlocked by inserting a VIPA SetCard (VSC) in the CPU's card slot. State the memory size you need and the matching SetCard is quoted with the CPU.
