EN 50155 rolling-stock switches with M12 connectors; IEC 61850-3 switches for power utilities.
ORing railway and substation switches are Ethernet switches built for two of the harshest environments: on-board rolling stock and electrical substations. Railway models carry EN 50155 and EN 45545 compliance, M12 connectors, bypass relays and wide-range DC inputs for shock, vibration and traction supply transients. Substation models meet IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for electromagnetic immunity and support HSR, PRP and IEC 61850 protocols.
Railway: the TGS and TGPS series are managed Gigabit and PoE switches with M12 X-coded ports, the TGXS and TGXPS add 10G, the TXPS and TSPL give PoE for on-board cameras, and the TINJ series are PoE injectors. Substation: the IGS-P9164 and IGS-P9812GP DIN-rail switches, the RES-P9242GCL and RGS-P9000/PR9000 rackmount series, and the SWM-20GT-HSR module for HSR/PRP, with LV and HV power options.
Indian metro, mainline rolling stock and power utility buyers specify by the standard the project tenders call for: EN 50155 class and M12 port coding for rail, IEC 61850-3 with HSR/PRP for substations. State power supply class (24, 72 or 110 V DC), port counts, fibre type and any bypass relay or IP54 need.
Elume sells ORing railway and substation switches on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole ORing range we quote on the ORing page, or the full catalogue on ORing's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other ORing part number is quoted the same way.
M12 connectors lock with a threaded coupling and keep contact under the shock and vibration levels defined in EN 50155 and EN 61373. X-coded M12 carries Gigabit; D-coded carries 10/100. State the coding to match the vehicle cabling.
HSR and PRP are zero-recovery-time redundancy schemes defined in IEC 62439-3 for substation automation. They are required where the IEC 61850 protection scheme cannot tolerate even a few milliseconds of loss; the RGS-P series and the SWM-20GT-HSR module support them.
Yes. The HV variants of the IGS-P and RGS-P series accept station battery and AC supplies in the 88 to 300 V DC or 85 to 264 V AC range, while LV variants take 24 to 48 V DC. Choose by the panel supply.
