Copper to fibre, multimode and single-mode, optical transceivers.
ORing media converters link a copper Ethernet port to a fibre run so a PLC, camera or switch can be connected over distances and through electrical noise that twisted pair cannot handle. The DIN-rail converters take industrial DC power and wide temperatures, and the SFP transceivers plug into the SFP slots of ORing switches and converters to set the fibre type, wavelength and reach.
The IMC-121FB series converts 10/100 Mbps to multi-mode or single-mode SC fibre; the IGMC-1011GP, IGMC-111GPB and IGMC-1011GF series handle Gigabit with an SFP slot or fixed fibre; the IGPMC-111GP-BT adds 802.3bt PoE output at the far end; the RMC-121FB and RGMC-111GPB are rack versions. SFP modules run from 100 Mbps multi-mode (SFP100B3-MM) to 1G LX at 10 to 80 km, 1G copper RJ45 SFPs and 10G SFPC10G modules, with industrial -I temperature versions.
Indian buyers choose converters by speed, fibre type (multi-mode for under 2 km, single-mode beyond), connector (SC or SFP) and whether PoE is needed at the remote end. For SFPs, state the fibre type, distance, wavelength, single or dual fibre, and the switch they will be fitted to, and ask for industrial grade when the switch sits in an outdoor or unconditioned cabinet.
Elume sells ORing media converters and sfp modules on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole ORing range we quote on the ORing page, or the full catalogue on ORing's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other ORing part number is quoted the same way.
Multi-mode is used for runs up to about 2 km inside a plant and is cheaper to terminate. Single-mode covers 10 km and far beyond for inter-building, pipeline and utility links. The converter or SFP must match the fibre already installed.
ORing switches accept standard MSA SFPs, but ORing SFP modules are tested with them and carry the industrial temperature grade. Order the matching ORing SFP with the switch to avoid link-up or temperature issues in the field.
Yes. A pole-top cabinet sees full sun and heat, so a wide-temperature DIN-rail converter such as the IGMC or IGPMC series, powered from the local DC supply, will hold the link where a commercial converter would fail.
