Fast-connect bus connectors, 90° and axial, with and without programming port; repeaters, diagnostic repeaters and cables.
Helmholz PROFIBUS components connect, extend and diagnose PROFIBUS-DP networks on S7 and other PLC systems. The connectors are 9-pin D-sub bus plugs with switchable termination and fast-connect wiring, the repeaters refresh the signal to extend cable length and node count, and the diagnostic versions show bus and termination status by LED so a fault can be found at the cabinet without a bus analyser.
The standard PROFIBUS connector (700-972-0BB12) and the connector with diagnostic LEDs (700-972-7BB12) cover 12 Mbit/s with optional PG socket. The FLEXtra PROFIBUS Repeater (700-972-4AA02) is a DIN-rail repeater with segment diagnostics, and the compact repeater (700-972-0RB12) sits in a connector-sized housing. The FLEXtra profiPoint (700-972-1AA02) supplies a clean terminating resistor at the end of a segment, and the active drop cable for PG (700-901-4BD00) connects a programming device without disturbing the bus.
Indian plants still run large PROFIBUS installations on S7-300 and S7-400 systems, so these parts are bought as spares and for extensions. Specify the baud rate, whether a PG socket is needed, the cable type (standard or fast-connect), the number of nodes and segment lengths for repeaters, and the LED diagnostic version where maintenance teams need visual status.
Elume sells Helmholz profibus connectors, repeaters and diagnostics on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole Helmholz range we quote on the Helmholz page, or the full catalogue on Helmholz's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other Helmholz part number is quoted the same way.
When a segment exceeds the cable length allowed at its baud rate (100 m at 12 Mbit/s, 1,000 m at 187.5 kbit/s), when more than 32 nodes are on a segment, or when a branch must be electrically isolated. Each repeater starts a new segment with its own termination.
The LEDs indicate whether the bus is active, whether the termination is switched on correctly and whether the connector sees a valid signal, so a maintenance technician can locate a broken or wrongly terminated connector without a bus analyser.
The termination in a connector only works while that device is powered. The profiPoint is an actively powered terminating resistor, so switching off or removing the end node does not leave the segment unterminated and cause bus errors.
