They cover the enclosure environment, the remaining life of moving Ethernet cables, non-intrusive recording of network traffic, and visual status on PROFIBUS connectors, giving maintenance teams data instead of guesswork.
The Cabinet Guard (700-210-1AA01) monitors temperature, humidity, air pressure, vibration and door status inside a cabinet and reports over the network. The Ethernet Cable Guard (700-200-LAN01) tracks the remaining service life of 100Base-TX cables on drag chains and moving machine parts. The Ethernet Test Access Point TAP IE 100 (700-800-TAP01) records 10 or 100 Mbit/s traffic for a protocol analyser without disturbing the network. PROFIBUS connectors with diagnostic LEDs and the FLEXtra profiPoint cover fieldbus segments.

The Cable Guard measures the electrical properties of the monitored 100Base-TX cable continuously and compares them with the new state. As conductors fatigue in a drag chain the readings drift, and the unit reports remaining life so the cable can be replaced at a planned stop.
No. The TAP IE 100 is inserted in-line and passes traffic through passively while copying it to the analyser port, so cycle times and connections are unaffected and the recording is invisible to the PLC and devices.
It provides its readings over the network for reading by a PLC, a web browser or a higher-level system, and can raise alarms when thresholds such as temperature, humidity or door-open are exceeded.
