UNITRONIC is LAPP's brand for data and signal cables below the Ethernet class: multicore low-frequency data cables for sensors and instrumentation, and bus cables built to the electrical specification of a fieldbus protocol. Constructions use fine-wire copper, PVC, PUR or halogen-free sheaths, and either an overall screen or twisted pairs with pair screens. Chain-rated FD and FD P versions exist for moving applications.
UNITRONIC LiYY is the unscreened data cable and LiYCY the screened version, both with DIN 47100 colour coding; LiYCY (TP) uses twisted pairs for better crosstalk performance and LiHCH is the halogen-free equivalent. UNITRONIC BUS PB is the PROFIBUS DP cable at 150 ohm, UNITRONIC BUS CAN the 120 ohm cable for CAN, CANopen and DeviceNet, and the FD P variants of each carry a PUR sheath for drag chains.

No. BUS PB is the 150 ohm type A cable for PROFIBUS DP. PROFIBUS PA uses a different, intrinsically safe construction. Tell us which protocol and segment you are cabling and we will quote the matching UNITRONIC type.
Yes. UNITRONIC FD and the BUS CAN FD P and BUS PB FD P types are built for drag chains with PUR sheaths. Elume quotes them on order for business buyers with a GST invoice; state the travel length and bend radius so the right version is offered.
