Phoenix Contact's industrial connectors join machines, modules and field devices with pluggable, sealed interfaces. HEAVYCON is the rectangular heavy-duty system of housings, contact inserts and modules for power, signal, data and pneumatics, rated up to IP66/IP67 and NEMA 4X. PLUSCON covers the circular M5, M8 and M12 standard connectors for sensors, actuators, power and data at up to 630 V, 16 A and 10 Gbit/s.
HEAVYCON STANDARD (HC-STA) housings are die-cast aluminium or plastic in sizes B, D and COM with various outlets and locks. HEAVYCON EVO housings are glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, IP66, IK08/09, with a bayonet lock that sets the cable outlet on site, in D15, D25, M1 and TWIN variants. HEAVYCON ADVANCE mounts directly on the panel without a base. Over 50 modular contact inserts fit HC-M frames. On the circular side, SACC M12 covers A, B, D, X, L and T codings.
Indian machine builders use HEAVYCON for plug-in control cabinets, modular machine sections, conveyor drives and tooling changeovers, and M12 connectors for sensor and actuator wiring. EVO suits weight-sensitive, corrosive or outdoor applications: it reaches IP66 and IK08/09 impact strength in fibre-reinforced plastic, and the bayonet lock lets you turn the cable outlet on site. Use metal HC-STA where EMC shielding through the housing is required.
