COMBICON is Phoenix Contact's range of printed-circuit-board connection technology: fixed PCB terminal blocks soldered to the board, and pluggable PCB connectors made of a header on the board and a mating plug on the cable. Connection methods include screw, push-in spring and spring-cage, with pitches from 2.5 mm to 10.16 mm, currents up to 125 A and voltages up to 1000 V. THT, THR and SMD mounting versions are available.
MKDS is the screw-type PCB terminal block family, MKDS 3 covering 2.5 mm² and MKDS 5 up to 4 mm². PTSA and SPT are push-in spring PCB terminals, SPT also in THR and SMD. MSTB 2,5 is the classic 5 mm and 5.08 mm pluggable system with screw plugs; FKCT and FKC are its push-in plug equivalents, with FKC EX versions for Ex eb zones. Headers come with straight or angled pins and screw flanges.

Yes. FKCT 2,5 and FKC 2,5 plugs mate with the MSTB 2,5 header family in the same pitch, so a board designed around MSTB headers can move to tool-free push-in wiring without a layout change.
MKDS 5 in 7.62 or 9.52 mm pitch is rated for 4 mm² with up to 32 A and 1000 V. For higher currents Phoenix Contact offers larger COMBICON power blocks; tell us the current and we will match the series.
