Plug-in modules, bricks and chips that give OEM devices multi-network connectivity.
Anybus CompactCom is the embedded network interface that device manufacturers build into drives, meters, weighing terminals, robots and instruments so one product can ship with any industrial network. The host device talks to the CompactCom over a common host interface; the module handles the whole protocol stack, connectors and certification. Switching from PROFINET to EtherNet/IP is a matter of fitting a different module, not redesigning the board.
The 40 series runs on the Anybus NP40 processor and comes as a plug-in Module (M40) with or without housing, a Brick (B40) plugged or soldered inside the device with the OEM's own connectors, and a mini brick for high-volume products. Variants exist for PROFINET IRT, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, POWERLINK, Modbus TCP, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, CANopen, CC-Link and others. The IIoT Secure versions add secure boot, TLS and a security chip; the Common Ethernet version loads the protocol as firmware.
Indian OEMs specify the networks they must support, the form factor that fits the device, the host interface (parallel, SPI, serial) and whether safety or IIoT security is needed. Starter kits and the developer portal provide the host software and design files.
Elume sells Anybus compactcom embedded modules on order: send the part numbers or the specification and the quantity, and we come back with one GST-ready quote, usually within a working day. Bulk and project quantities welcome; delivery across India. See the whole Anybus range we quote on the Anybus page, or the full catalogue on Anybus's own site.
The series asked for most. Any other Anybus part number is quoted the same way.
It is a design-in component for equipment manufacturers. Your device's firmware talks to the CompactCom through HMS's host application interface; the module then handles the network protocol, connectors and conformance so the end product can be certified.
Yes. That is the purpose of CompactCom: fit a PROFINET module for one customer and an EtherNet/IP module for another, or use the Common Ethernet version and load the protocol firmware at the factory.
Yes. The 40 series exposes a Functional Safety object so a safety module such as the Ixxat Safe T100 can run CIP Safety, PROFIsafe or FSoE over the black channel of the CompactCom network interface.
