Belden instrumentation cables carry 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V and low-voltage digital signals between field instruments, marshalling cabinets and DCS or PLC inputs. They use tinned or bare copper pairs or triads with an overall Beldfoil shield and drain wire, individually shielded pairs on multi-pair types, and PVC or PVC-nylon jackets rated CM for cabinets or 600 V TC and PLTC for tray and outdoor routing.
8760 is the 18 AWG single pair and 8761 the 22 AWG single pair, both foil shielded, CM rated and widely used for loop wiring. 1120A is a 600 V tray cable with an 18 AWG pair, PVC-nylon insulation, rated 90 °C wet and dry for outdoor and direct burial. Thermocouple cables use matched alloy conductors: 83900 Type J (iron and constantan) and 83905 Type K (Chromel and Alumel) in FEP, and 1018A Type KX extension in 16 AWG.
Indian process plants, OEMs and EPC contractors use these for transmitter loops, control valves, encoders, furnace and reactor temperature points. Specify the pair or triad count, gauge, shielding (overall or individual), jacket rating for the route, and for thermocouples the type, grade (thermocouple or extension) and the ANSI or IEC colour code required.

Both are 18 AWG shielded pairs, but 8760 is a 300 V CM cable for indoor cabinets and panels, while 1120A is a 600 V tray cable with PVC-nylon insulation rated for outdoor, wet and direct-burial routes. Use 1120A outside the control room.
No. Thermocouple runs need conductors of matching alloy, such as Belden 83905 (Type K) or 1018A (Type KX extension), so the junction at the terminal does not introduce an error. Copper cable is only for the transmitter output after conversion.
