Prama NVRs record IP camera streams to hard disks and serve live view and playback to monitors, the VMS and the app. The range runs from 4 and 8 channel units with built-in PoE for small sites to 16 and 32 channel recorders with two or four SATA bays and 64 channel units with eight bays and RAID for campuses and city nodes, all with H.265 and 4K output.
Models differ in incoming bandwidth, decoding capacity, SATA bays, RAID, alarm inputs and whether AI events from AI Sense cameras are indexed for quick search. PoE NVRs power up to 16 cameras directly; larger sites use PoE switches and a non-PoE NVR.
