A 9W LED bulb (around 800-900 lumens) replaces a 60W incandescent, and a 12W LED replaces a 75-100W bulb. Always check lumens rather than watts: aim for roughly 800 lumens for general room lighting and more for kitchens or task areas.
What is the difference between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K?
These are colour temperatures. 3000K is warm yellow light for bedrooms, hotels and living rooms; 4000K is neutral white, ideal for offices; 6500K is cool daylight, best for kitchens, shops, security and outdoor areas. Pick one CCT per zone and keep it consistent.
Do LED lights for outdoor use need a special rating?
Yes. Any outdoor or wet-area fixture - floodlights, street lights, garden and facade lighting - should be IP65 rated, meaning dust-tight and protected against water jets. A non-rated indoor light will fail quickly in monsoon or dusty site conditions, so always confirm IP65 before ordering.
